Why fly in Mongolia?
Open country
Mongolia remains one of the few places where open terrain still defines the flying experience. Open steppe, desert margins, high mountain ranges, alpine lakes, grasslands and tundra-like highlands sit within reach of each other. Fences and restrictions are almost non-existent: freedom of movement, in the air and on the ground.
1. Space to Fly
Outside the cities the land is vast, lightly populated and largely free of the fences, power lines, congestion and access restrictions that limit flying elsewhere. For visiting pilots that means more room to plan, launch, route and adapt.
2. One Country, Many Landscapes
Steppe, desert edges, river valleys, ridges, forest margins, volcanic formations and highlands can all be part of one trip. It is not one flying site. It is a whole range of environments.
3. Built for Expedition Flying
The terrain invites movement, route flexibility and vehicle-supported travel rather than static, site-bound flying. It is a place for covering ground and exploring new lines.
4. A Different Kind of Flying
No launch queues or tightly managed sites. Open mornings, changing terrain, small groups, and the feeling of moving through a real landscape rather than around a designated flying zone.
When to come
Summer is our flying season for paramotor and paragliding expeditions.
Getting here
Most visitors fly into Chinggis Khaan International Airport, near Ulaanbaatar. We arrange the rest from there.
