Paramotor pilot flying low behind the expedition support vehicle in the Mongolian desert

Mongolia Paramotor Expedition

FOUNDERS' SEASON · AUGUST 2027

Kharkhorin to Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake, across the Khangai region of central Mongolia.

August 2027 · 10–14 days · Max 6 pilots · Own paramotor or rental · Price on request

WHAT THIS EXPEDITION IS

A small-group expedition for experienced paramotor pilots, flown as a route across one of the most open landscapes on Earth: river valleys, a waterfall in a basalt gorge, canyon country and volcanic lake highlands, with a support vehicle following every leg.

2027 is our first paramotor expedition season. Places are limited and confirmed by application.

This is not a training course. It is expedition flying in remote terrain.

THE ROUTE

The route runs from the Orkhon Valley at Kharkhorin, the old capital of the Mongol Empire, deep into the Khangai region of central Mongolia. Along the way we fly over open steppe grasslands, river valleys and a waterfall gorge, canyon country, extinct volcanoes and lakes dammed by ancient lava flows.

The route is a plan, not a promise: each day's leg is set by the weather and the group.

HOW A DAY RUNS

  • Morning flying window

  • Midday rest, relocation and scouting

  • Evening flying window

Long August evenings give a second full session on most days.

The expedition camp has Starlink internet and a 3.6 kW power supply at all times, so instruments, cameras and phones stay charged in the middle of nowhere.

WHO IT'S FOR

Intermediate to experienced paramotor pilots who:

  • launch and land independently

  • navigate unfamiliar terrain confidently

  • handle in-flight contingencies without supervision

  • have flown outside their home area

You should be comfortable living in a remote camp with limited infrastructure. Not suitable for newly licensed pilots or anyone who needs instruction.
